We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Neath, Port Talbot, South Wales. We are open to applications from candidates who live in; or can commute from some of the following areas: Cardiff, Newport, Cwmbran, Pontypool, Abergavenny, Blaenavon, Ebbw Vale, Rhymney, Merthyr Tydfil, Aberdare, Pontypridd, Barry, Pontyclun, Porthcawl, Port Talbot, Pontardawe, Ammanford, Llanelli, Llandeilo, Carmarthen and the surrounding areas.

Role Responsibility
Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, the Quantity Surveyor will be required to prepare and articulate competent plans for any scale of project that comply with Company and functional procedures and standards.
On a day to day basis, key responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor will include the following (not exhaustive):
- Preparing and agreeing interim valuations and final accounts
- Recording, monitoring and reviewing the financial performance of contracts
- Managing financial accounts and report to senior management on the project performance
- Liaising and presenting to the client on the project performance
- Securing payments from customers within the specified contract terms
- Subcontract procurement and management of subcontractor accounts
- Pre-contract pricing and agreement project costs
- Overseeing the measurement and preparation of valuations
Due to the nature of the work, a company vehicle is included with the role and therefore you must have a FULL UK manual car driving licence with no more than 6 points
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a Quantity Surveyor who is a member of a relevant professional body such as RICS, has experience of working on Civil Engineering projects and is driven to succeed.
Please note it is essential to have prior experience or an understanding of NEC forms of contract.
