Quarry Supervisor

We are currently looking for a Quarry Supervisor to join our team at our Reilly quarry in Glasgow.

Role Responsibility

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will be expected to be responsible for the safe and efficient day to day running of the quarry, holding the 8.1c appointment for hard rock quarry operations under the quarry regulations. 

The position is an operational role leading a small team of staff to ensure site budgets and targets are met. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and develop the skills/ knowledge to safely and efficiently run a busy hard rock quarry.

The Ideal Candidate

This is a varied, complex and rewarding position that requires previous experience in a quarrying environment, either with or looking to gain first line management position and or looking to progress their career in operational management. Existing processing plant, wheeled loading shovel license and It skills an advantage. The successful candidate will also ideally:

• Have good communication and organisational skills
• Possess knowledge of on-site Health and Safety procedures
• Be motivated
• Be flexible in their working approach
