We are currently recruiting for a Supervisor to join our fantastic team based in Barrasford Quarry, Hexham.  We are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds

Role Responsibility

As the successful candidate, you will focus specifically on Health and Safety, Production and Sales, Maintenance and Improvement around the site. Operation and maintenance of the plant and management of the S&H systems.
You will be an effective leader that can motivate and inspire a team to engage with our company's policies, targets, goals and standards. 

Barrasford Quarry operates a back shift from 4:30pm until 2:00am, Monday to Friday. During your shift  you will supervise a team of three operatives who run the crushing and screening plant from 4:30pm until 10:00pm and then carry out maintenance and housekeeping duties until 2:00am. In addition to this the Supervisor will be required to supervise the asphalt plant night shift team from time to time.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of hard rock extraction and processing, asphalt batching, the dangers and hazards it brings and a sound understanding of how to manage a team through these processes’ day to day. Experience with risk assessment, HIRA process and permit system would be an advantage.

Qualifications

• SHE Level 2
• mobile plant licences
