Quarry Supervisor

We are currently looking for a Supervisor to join our team at our Cheviot Quarry near Wooler in Northumberland.  We’re working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds. 

Role Responsibility

As the Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of running our Tarmac Cheviot Sand and Gravel Quarry, servicing the local market, daily you will:

• Drive a strong culture of Health and Safety at the site and in everything that you do
• Manufacture a high-quality product for our customers
• Work Collaboratively with a ‘One Team’ mindset to deliver exceptional value to our customers
• Continually look for ways to develop the site and drive performance

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of sand & gravel extraction and processing, the dangers and hazards it brings and a sound understanding of how to manage a team through these processes’ day to day. Experience with risk assessment, HIRA process and permit system would be an advantage.
