Quarry Supervisor

Job Introduction

Wellington Quarry is a sand and gravel processing plant just North of Hereford.  It has an on site rail loading facility and Ready mixed concrete unit.

We are currently looking for a Quarry Supervisor to join our friendly team based in Wellington Quarry North of Hereford.

Role Responsibility

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for day to day management and supervision of the quarry, rail loading and Ready mixed concrete teams on site. This will include the planning of any tasks required throughout the day and week.  You will ensure the plant is operated efficiently and to its optimum throughput in a safe and controlled manor.

You will ensure all mobile plant is maintained and operated safely and that a proactive preventative approach to maintenance is taken. You will be a team player, engaging with all sections of site and helping achieve a one team ethos.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess previous experience working as a Quarry Supervisor or Chargehand with a sound understanding of how to manage a team on the day to day basis. As well as you will be an effective team player that can motivate and inspire other individuals to engage with the company's policies, targets, goals and standards.

Experience with risk assessment, HIRA process and permit system would be an advantage.

Some mobile plant operating would be advantageous.

However full training will be given to the successful candidate

Qualifications

• SHE Level 3 (Preferred)
• Geotechnical Qualifications (Preferred)
