Are you a passionate and dynamic Rail Coordinator or Transport Coordinator looking for your next role?
We are currently looking for a Rail Coordinator to join our friendly team based at our Tunstead Quarry, close to Buxton in Derbyshire. This role is easily commutable from Buxton, Sheffield, Stockport, Chesterfield, Macclesfield, Mansfield and the surrounding areas.

Role Responsibility
Key Responsibilities of the Rail Coordinator (not exhaustive):
The successful candidate for the role of Rail Coordinator will have a wide range of responsibilities including:
- Ensure ownership on all your customer relationships, via telephone and email, this will be with our customers, suppliers and local teams; including drivers
- Complete data entry and processing; you will maintain data entry protocols and carefully record other information throughout your day
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the business you're working for by identifying and taking ownership of opportunities for improvement to the processes you use, the services you will provide and the values you can add to the business
- Input of accurate customer data into the CRM system
- Liaise with operations staff to collate information with regards to supply chain and plant supply
- Coordinate, in conjunction with operations the efficient organisation and delivery of material / plant resources
- Daily booking of deliveries and notify management of problems – assist in problem solving
- Key involvement in all rail movement and activities
- Assist with any failures in the delivery of the operation with the support of our operations and production teams
- Support the teams with administration duties where necessary
- Collate and format monthly stats and reports for Rail Supervisor / Manager
- Exceptional time management is essential
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for the role of Rail Coordinator will be able to demonstrate:
- Secondary school education, A Levels etc or equivalent
- You should have a good working knowledge of IT software packages, i.e. - Microsoft Office, word, emails, excel and CRM systems and be able to demonstrate knowledge of working with data and timetables
- Experience of working within a busy environment is advantageous as is the ability to work with multiple colleagues and suppliers
- Knowledge of Rail deliveries and despatch would prove highly beneficial, although not essential as training can be given
