Rail Operations Manager

We are currently looking for a Rail Operations Manager to join our friendly team at Mountsorrel Quarry in Leicestershire.

Role Responsibility

Reporting directly to the Head of Rail, the suitable candidate will be responsible for: 

• Managing the planning and delivery of Tarmacs Rail Operations with the Freight operating Companies (FOCs) and Wagon leasing companies against agreed KPIs in order to deliver maximum value from Tarmac’s relationship with these key suppliers.  

• Build and maintain strong Regional & Area cross functional working relationships ensuring a balanced approach is taken to delivering high levels of customer service  

• Manage and design the detailed rail plan, ensuring that the full business needs are met, working closely with Area teams across the business to ensure material demand is understood and delivered through the supply chain.
