Reliability Engineer

We are currently looking for a Reliability Engineer to join our friendly team in Dunbar, Scotland.

Role Responsibility

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Organizing the day-to-day activities of the inspectors and lubrication POs to ensure that condition-based monitoring routes, inspection and tests are carried out as per schedules on all plant equipment this includes visual inspection, Detailed internal inspection and measurements, oil analysis and vibration analysis.  
  • Produce reports to update the methods manager on the condition of the plant with recommendation and action to be included.
  • Developing a proactive and continuous improvement culture, the role holder will drive the analysis of maintenance failures and implement action plans to improve both reliability and maintenance practices.
  • Planning and success of all plant shutdowns, monitoring tasks and expenditure to ensure timescales and expectations are met and is the champion for engineering improvements and promotes best practice at the Plant.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role as well as:

  • Hold a Mechanical/Electrical Engineering qualification or relevant qualifications
  • IOSH Certification
  • Managing maintenance teams in industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Organised and ability to enhance the development of a strong team, coaching and building their performance and encouraging collaboration
  • Able to create a vision for the department and gain alignment
  • Builds personal integrity and credibility
  • Challenges conventional solutions: Continuous improvement agent
  • Thinks strategically and executes effectively
