Replenishment Planner - HS2 Align JV
Job Introduction
Tarmac are recruiting for Replenishment Planner for Europe’s largest infrastructure project, HS2. HS2 Ltd will be the UK’s new high speed rail network. As well as improving capacity, the new scheme will shorten journey times between a number of Britain’s major population centres, boost the economy and create thousands of jobs.
The successful candidate will operate in a pre-planned and live environment to optimise all programs of works maximising both volume and best economic source principals for transport and supplying units, whilst managing any unplanned events. You will also provide timely communication to stakeholders, updates on planned solutions to program changes as well as overseeing daily and weekly programmes including Out of Hours works. In addition you will support fleet, transport planners and weighbridge staff to ensure high levels of vehicle utilisation and low levels of haulier queries.
Role Responsibility
In this role you will be responsible for a number of tasks including:
- The cost effective distribution of Tarmac’s product to site
- Managing material service levels to customers through detailed pre planning of programmed works with regular communication with strategic customers
- Being proactive when dealing with unplanned events that affect adherence to program or planned service offering
- Maintaining effective and timely communication with all stakeholders
- Providing support and planning for Out of Hours working and working to improve utilisation of transport and operational units.
- Delivering an industry leading service to customers
- Creating programs to enhance utilisation and efficiencies of fleet
- Supporting the delivery of the area business performance strategy and contributing to the regional and national logistics strategy
- Identifying and building links to external customers and supporting the area’s commercial strategy
- Ensuring details of capacity and forward programme and plans are communicated effectively to all stakeholders
- Supporting the operations units by effectively planning workloads
The Ideal Candidate

Previous proven experience of stakeholder management would be beneficial as would a positive approach and ‘can do’ attitude.
As the ideal candidate you should be able to evidence previous experience of planning and organising and have the ability to remain customer focussed at all times and work collaboratively with the project team and other key stakeholders.
