Resourcing Manager

Tarmac’s resourcing team is responsible for delivering a professional and responsive recruitment and selection service to the entire business. We operate in a fast-paced environment where we deliver volume hiring across operations and corporate functions, at all levels, nationally.

We’re now looking for two Resourcing Managers to join the team and be responsible for supporting our day to day recruitment activities with a specific focus on Operation and Engineering across our Materials & Contracting business unit. 

These brand new roles are key in successfully shaping, developing and delivering our resourcing services in order to help Tarmac build Britains future. 

Role Responsibility

As a Resourcing Manager, you’ll typically be involved in carrying out the following activities:

  • Act as the subject matter expert for all resourcing matters across Tarmac for operations and engineering across your region.
  • Drive Tarmac’s brand perception, including activities such as D&I, employee engagement, developing employer brand.
  • Deliver a comprehensive 360 recruitment and selection service.
  • Working closely with the National Resourcing Manager and wider business to develop, implement and deliver the resourcing strategy to ensure Tarmac employs and retains a high calibre of employee.
  • Working in collaboration with HR Operations and site management teams to understand recruitment requirements. This includes developing an understanding of key vacancies, the skills and knowledge required to perform such roles and identifying the most appropriate and cost effective recruitment channels and strategies.
  • Managing the recruitment process by responding to specific business needs whilst always ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Developing effective relationships with external agencies and educational bodies to source high-quality applicants at the right cost.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should be able to evidence previous in-house recruitment experience gained within a fast-paced, multi-site environment or similar. 

As the Resourcing Manager, you will be confident in managing multiple recruitment activities with a range of stakeholders, guiding them through the recruitment process.  

You should have proven communication and influencing skills as well as a collaborative approach working with a diverse audience as well as being an active team player.
