Safety Park Trainer

Job Introduction

We are currently looking for a Safety Park Trainer to design, develop and deliver a range of safety related programmes, whilst developing strong relationships across our business units, and working closely with operational units to ensure that competency, skills and knowledge are maintained across all Tarmac's product lines.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who can make sessions not only informative, but also fun and engaging for our cohort.

Role Responsibility

  • Deliver accredited and in-house Health and Safety Training (eg IOSH Managing Safely, Safety Passport, Risk Assessment, Working at Heights etc)​​

  • Deliver fixed, mobile plant, SHE training and assessment when required and carry out competence assessments, through the approved process​​

  • Ensure a consistency in documentation used and appropriate records maintained​​

  • Will be required to deliver at both safety park at other Tarmac locations across the UK​

  • Complete and mark assessments​​

  • Develop new and update existing materials​​

  • Design bespoke courses to meet customer needs​

  • To act as a subject matter expert in one of the following areas on a national basis, e.g. SHE NVQs, Maintenance, Mobile Plant, TBP

The Ideal Candidate

Experience and Knowledge​

  • Ability to influence and persuade managers​

  • Attention to detail critical​

  • Achieving goals against tight deadline​

  • Management experience of operational activities​

Qualifications​

  • Teaching & Education qualification (PTLLS)​

  • IOSH/Nebosh Qualification​

  • Assessing Vocational Achievement (L3)​
