Sales Administrator - Hybrid Working

We are currently looking for a Sales Administrator to join our friendly team based at our Tarmac Colchester Office.  This role is commutable from Colchester, Tiptree, West Mersea, Clacton-on-Sea, Great Bentley, Braintree, Witham, Ipswich, Sudbury, Halstead, Chelmsford and the surrounding areas.

Role Responsibility

As the Sales Administrator you will have worked in a similar industry providing either internal or external sales support to your wider team and the Tarmac group. Other responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Demonstrate an excellent telephone manner when dealing with colleagues and customers
  • Prioritise and multitask daily duties
  • Handling incoming telephone calls and emails
  • Understanding and assessing team needs
  • Supporting the sales team by handling their requests or directing to a relevant department
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate CRM and SAP records
  • Engage with the wider Tarmac team to better understand requirements and develop and maintain relationships
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as required
  • Communicate with the supply chain to obtain pricing, stock levels and lead times as required by the sales team
  • Maintain proactive communication across the region of work

Please be aware this role of Sales Administrator is a FTC to cover maternity leave

The Ideal Candidate

It is preferred that the successful candidate for the role of Sales Administrator will be experienced in the following:

  • SAP and CRM systems
  • Working collaboratively with the existing team to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner and to a high standard
  • Showing a positive attitude, building rapport and positive relationships with customers and internal colleagues
  • Being ambitious to learn new skills and achieve your own personal goals, as well as business goal

In the role of Sales Administrator you will also have:

  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Good oral and written communication
  • Numeracy and analytical ability

Training will be provided for:

  • Products, Procedures and our Computer systems
