Section Engineering Manager | Electrical & Railhead

We are currently looking for a Section Engineering Manager to look after our Electrical and Railhead section based at Mountsorrel Quarry, Leicestershire.

Role Responsibility
As the successful candidate, you will work closely with all members of the engineering team, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager.
In this role, you’ll provide an effective link between the Operations management and the Engineering team. Delivering high-quality service to all sections of the quarry specifically as the site electrical manager/duty holder and all railhead operations.
You will maintain continuous production and improve efficiencies safely through effectively implementing preventative maintenance schedules and responding in a timely manner to breakdown repairs.
You will also ensure continuous improvement methodologies are applied that improves the operational scorecard.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will be instrumental in the future development and support of the reliability culture to achieve the benefits available through a continuous improvement strategy. They will have experience as an Engineering Manager/Lead within a similar industry and line management experience will be essential.
Specific Requirements

ONC/HNC Desirable
-
Recognized apprenticeship preferably a higher-level standard

Inspection and testing qualification

High Voltage Ap training (Or working towards)

Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques

Challenge people, hold them accountable for job completion and quality of completion

Computer literate. Familiarity with computer software (word, excel, etc)

Demonstrate problem-solving capabilities

Good presentation, communication and skills

A positive, proactive can-do attitude
