Service Technician

We are currently looking for a Service Technician to join our friendly team based in our Mountsorrel quarry. Here at Tarmac, we are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds, therefore prior technical experience isn’t always necessary for success.

Role Responsibility

As the successful candidate, you will be a part of the multi-skilled engineering team carrying out high frequency less technical repairs and planned maintenance to a wide range of highly utilised assets. As well as maintain high standards of asset history within the CMMS system in order to ensure accurate KPI reporting

The Ideal Candidate

You will Lead the repair of equipment and components to ensure reliable service and on target availability and assist the engineering department in achieving its budget targets through the efficient use of materials and replacement parts.

Qualifications/Requirements/capabilities

• Mechanical, Pneumatic and hydraulic systems knowledge
• Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques
• Lifting and slinging knowledge
• Heavy plant knowledge
