Shift Operative – Alfreton

Full-time | 24/7 Continental Shift Pattern | Averaging 42 hours per week

Are you looking for a hands‑on role where you can make a real impact as part of a supportive, friendly team? 

We’re currently recruiting experienced Shift Operatives to join our production site in Alfreton.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you’ll play a key role in operating plant and equipment safely and efficiently to ensure our production targets are met. You’ll help maintain our high standards of quality, safety and operational performance while supporting the smooth running of the site.


What you’ll be doing

  • Operating plant and equipment to meet or exceed production targets
  • Completing daily production reporting and operator preventative maintenance tasks
  • Ensuring Health & Safety rules and company policies are always followed
  • Supporting continuous improvement across process, plant and production areas
  • Balancing production line operation and cleaning duties
  • Building positive working relationships with production and maintenance colleagues
  • Ensuring high-quality products are produced efficiently
  • Maintaining good timekeeping and flexibility

What we’re looking for

You’ll bring proven experience in a similar production or manufacturing environment along with:

  • Strong communication and numeracy skills
  • A team‑focused approach
  • Experience with manual handling
  • Reliability and willingness to work a continental shift pattern
  • Willingness to work 24/7 continental shift pattern. Rota: 12hr shift pattern averaging 42hrs per week.
    Week 1 Mon Tues night shift followed by Fri/Sat/Sun day shift (60hrs)
    Week 2 Wed/Thurs night shift (24hrs).
    Week 3 Mon/Tues day shift followed by Fri/Sat/Sun night shift (60hrs).
    Week 4 Wed/Thurs day shift (24hrs)
