Street Lighting Operative

We are looking for a Street Lighting Operative to join our team based at our contract in Bromley.

Role Responsibility

Reporting directly to the Contracts Manager you will be responsible for

  • Ensuring that all aspects of routine and non-routine maintenance is carried out
  • Bulk cleaning and change to all types of street furniture where possible as well as the painting of street furniture
  • Installation and removal of columns, posts and bollards
  • Making sure the installation of signs is carried out
  • Being able to identify and repair to client owned cable network
  • Ensuring plant is maintained to high standard 
  • Ensuring PM tasks are completed 
  • Ensuring plant operates at required OEE
  • Ensuring all work carried out recorded in maintenance system 
  • Ensuring plant operates in a safe manner 
  • Ensuring all work carried out and documented in line with company SHE policies
  • Ensuring production is maintained to required target levels by assisting on line and mobile plant when required

The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role the ideal candidate will possess proven experience in all aspects of street lighting within the Civil Engineering industry. They will also possess:

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Health & Safety
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines
  • Effective communication skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Qualifications:

  • G39
  • IPAF
  • NRSWA
  • Manual Handling
  • Abrasive Wheel
  • HGV Class 2
  • 7.5t license
  • First Aid at work
  • Testing and Inspect
  • 302.1 Traffic Management
