We are looking for a Street Lighting Supervisor to join our team based in the London Borough of Harrow.

Role Responsibility

Reporting directly to the Contracts Manager you will be responsible for managing labour, plant, materials and subcontractors on site to ensure that all construction activities are carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with programme/works order, budget and quality requirements. You will also be responsible for:

• Ensuring all project/sites comply with company health, safety, environmental and quality policies and procedures and all legislative requirements
• Maximising profit and commercial returns on each project by understanding of the commercial/pricing strategy
• Engagement with various stakeholders on site both internally/externally: Quantity Surveyors, Health and Safety team, Contract Administrator
• Defining overall team workload, planning and allocating day-to-day work priorities and allocating manpower for daily tasks
• Building effective relationships with the client engineers and supervisors
• Effective management, coaching and development of site personnel
• Reviewing how well tasks have been completed and implementing lessons learnt

The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role the ideal candidate will possess proven experience within the street lighting & civil engineering industry, preferably of works delivery within highways sector. They will also possess:

Skills/Knowledge:

• Service Technical Knowledge
• Health & Safety IOSH
• IT Literate Word Excel, Project and PowerPoint
• Proven Supervisory experience
• Ability to work within tight deadlines
• Effective communication skills
• Full UK Driving Licence

Qualifications:

• Construction Qualification – NVQ 3 or similar
• CSCS Qualification
• SMSTS / SSSTS / IOSH
• Largely qualified by experience
• G39
• HEA Qualified
• NQV IPAF
