Sustainability Performance and Compliance Manager

We are currently seeking a Sustainability Performance and Compliance Manager to join our team based out of Solihull (working on a hybrid basis). This role is easily accessible from Birmingham, Solihull, Coventry, Tamworth, across the West Midlands and East Midlands.

Role Responsibility
The Sustainability Performance and Compliance Manager is responsible for delivering compliance with carbon legislation, as well as data for external and internal sustainability monitoring, reporting, certification and footprinting requirements. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring compliance with carbon regulations and carbon forecasting – including UKETS, CCAs, SECR and ESOS and EII Exemption Schemes
- Interfacing with Regulators and Verifiers to meet regulatory requirements
- Designing, developing and implementing systems and processes for sustainability data reporting including carbon footprints, EPDs, and KPI
- Managing and developing direct reports (up to 3) to ensure they reach their full potential
Other priority tasks for the role of Sustainability Performance and Compliance Manager include:
- Coordinating activities across the team to ensure appropriate and timely response to requests - including client requests for carbon footprints and requests for sustainability performance data from business units
- Managing the quality of data received from the business, putting it into format that is accessible and understandable and developing tools and systems to enable this to happen, increasing the efficiency of the data management process
- Managing the delivery of the annual sustainability compliance processes that affect Tarmac (including legislative requirements - UKETS, SECR and ESOS – and certification requirements such as ISO50001, BES6001, PPN06/21)
- Producing internal sustainability performance metrics quarterly and annually and providing data for external sector wide data gathering processes
- Coordinating input to the CRH internal audit process
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for the role of Sustainability Performance and Compliance Manager will have at least 3 years’ experience in a data driven compliance role including a working knowledge of UKETS, CCA, SECR, ESOS, EII exemption and other carbon compliance schemes as well as sustainability KPIs, lifecycle analysis, carbon footprinting and EPDs.
To be successfully deliver the Sustainability Performance and Compliance Manager role you will also be able to demonstrate:

- Confidence & ability to manage & prioritise complex tasks
