Technical Sales Manager

We are currently looking for a Technical Sales Manager to join our Specialist Packed Products team. The main hub is based at Swains Park, Swadlincote but the team covers the UK and Ireland within its remit. This role is covering the South of England & Wales and will offer hybrid working.

Our Specialist Packed Products Team is responsible for the sale of cementitious and bituminous products for a variety of construction applications. This role will involve selling materials directly to either contractors or via distributors to meet project requirements across Highways repair & maintenance applications.

Role Responsibility

In the role of Technical Sales Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and developing a geographical sales area including new business development
  • Management and growth of existing accounts
  • Product demonstrations
  • Handle customer complaints to a positive outcome
  • Reporting on sales
  • Planning sales and appointment activity
  • Good housekeeping in all aspects of the role

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for the role of Technical Sales Manager will have experience of:

  • Be able to demonstrate proven experience working within a fast paced technical sales environment
  • Possess good communication skills and be numerate
  • A proactive and motivated sales person
  • Work well as part of a team and independently
  • Demonstrate strong problem solving skills
