Technical Services Manager

We are currently looking for a Technical Services Manager to join our commercial team. Here at Tarmac, we are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.

Role Responsibility

Reporting to the National Commercial Technical Manager, the successful candidate will:

  • Provide technical support to the bulk and packed commercial teams
  • Provide technical support/advice to the company’s customer base and the end-user of the company’s products.
  • Provide support for the maintenance of product technical literature.
  • Maintain and continually improve the handling of product technical and quality data.
  • Provide technical support/advice to the marketing team.
  • Provide technical support in the handling of customer complaints.
  • Implement product/packaging design processes.
  • The role will be the main point of contact for BSI on product certification related processes.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should possess previous experience in a technical / quality management role (ideally concerning the supply of materials to the concrete/mortar industry) with experience of laboratory testing procedures and protocol.

  • Quality & Technical Management
  • Commercial/Customer interaction
  • Communication, negotiating and influencing skills
  • Cement manufacture
  • IT skills
  • Understanding ISO 9001, ISO 17025 and relevant product standards

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent in a quality (or similar) related discipline
