Technician

We are currently looking for a Technician to join our friendly team based at Tarmac Stancombe Quarry and Asphalt Plant in Flax Bourton, Bristol, BS48 3QD.

Role Responsibility

By-products of the steel and iron industries, aggregates have many valuable properties that can be used in construction, infrastructure and agriculture. At Tarmac we have over 40 years’ experience of processing slag aggregates into premium and more sustainable construction materials. 

This role is hands-on, which will require the sampling of aggregate materials at the production site on a daily basis, where accuracy is paramount. Other responsibilities will include: 

• Quality control  and testing of the aggregates  

• Reporting to Senior Technician on site 

• Adhering to company Health and Safety procedures at all times

The Ideal Candidate

• Have previous experience of working within a testing laboratory (desirable) 

• Have good communication skills (both oral and written) 

• Be motivated 

• Be hardworking 

• Be IT Literate
