Trainee Asphalt Plant Operator

We are currently looking for a Trainee Asphalt Plant Operator to join our friendly team based at the Washwood Heath Asphalt plant in Birmingham.

Role Responsibility

Reporting directly to Plant Supervisor, you will be responsible for mixing asphalt to specification, working with other members of the team to ensure that customers get good quality material and on-time deliveries.

The Trainee Asphalt Plant Operator will work with an internal team to plan the mixing program, ensuring that stocks are maintained and replenished in good time.

You will also carry out inspections on the plant and carry out housekeeping tasks and also basic daily maintenance.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess good communication skills and have a real desire to learn and develop both operational and supervisory skills.
Previous experience working as an Operative, Operator or Labourer is prefered but not essential as full training will be given.
