Transport Fleet Planner

We are currently looking for a Transport Fleet Planner to join our team at our Tarmac Hendy site in Pontyclun, CF72 8PG.  

The role revolves round managing all deliveries to customer sites, ensuring they arrive in a timely manner.

Support the management of around 80 vehicles.

Planning deliveries of asphalt and aggregates to customer sites.

Role Responsibility

As Transport Fleet Planner, reporting directly to the Distribution Supervisor you will be responsible for: 

• The timely and efficient planning of vehicles onto the appropriate computer systems, to meet the needs and demands of the customers, in line with all restrictions. 

• Monitoring the progress of all planning working closely with customer service coordinators to ensure customers are kept informed at all times 

• Carry out daily administrative tasks in line with the transport planning role 

The Ideal Candidate

Ideally you will have previous Transport Fleet Planner experience or have the following skills & attributes: 

• Have excellent communication and organisational skills 

• Have the ability to liaise with stakeholders of varying seniority levels both internally and externally 

• Be motivated 

• Be flexible 

• IT Literate  -  (Microsoft Office, Excel particularly)
