Transport Planner

We are currently looking for a Transport Planner to join our team in Colchester, Essex. We’re working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.
Role Responsibility
Reporting directly to the Distribution Supervisor you will be responsible for:
The timely and efficient planning of vehicles onto the appropriate computer systems, to meet the needs and demands of the customers, in line with all restrictions.
Monitoring the progress of all planning working closely with customer service coordinators to ensure customers are kept informed at all times
Carry out daily administrative tasks in line with the transport planning role
The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role you will ideally have experience within a similar role. You will also:
Have excellent communication and organisational skills
Have the ability to liaise with stakeholders of varying seniority levels both internally and externally
Be motivated
Be flexible
IT Literate - (Microsoft Office, Excel particularly)
