We are currently looking for a Site Manager to join our team in Port Talbot Site, Port Talbot, West Glamorgan, South Wales. This role is easily accessible from Swansea, Carmarthen, Bridgend, Porthcawl, Pontypridd, Merthyr Tydfil, Cardiff, Barry, Newport and surrounding areas.

Role Responsibility
Reporting directly to the Senior Operations Manager the role of Site Manager will lead the site management team at the Port Talbot steel works and oversee the processing of blast furnace and steel aggregate production. As Site Manager you will also be responsible for:
- Leading the Operations team and overseeing production daily and for mentoring and coaching team members to develop their capability
- Ensuring compliancy of Health and Safety policies and procedures on site at all times
- Ensuring quality of works is maintained at all times
- Developing an operational strategy which considers the development of people, the improvement and development of operational assets and the impact of technology on operational practises
- Working closely with the Technical and Commercial teams to ensure company performance is maximised
- Driving results within the Operational teams
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for the role of Site Manager will possess production and operational management experience ideally within a similar industry. Suitable candidates for the role of Site Manager will also have:
- Experience of managing operational teams
- Experience and knowledge of blast furnace and aggregate production (desirable)
- Superb communication and organisational skills
- Proven time management skills
- Ability to liaise regularly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Desire and motivation to succeed
- Preferably worked within an environment with similar Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Positive approach encouraging continuous improvement methods
The site operates 24/7 so you would also be required to be flexible with your working hours
