About the Role

We’re recruiting for a Quality Control Technician to join our dedicated team at our Linford Block Plant, located close to Stanford-le-Hope in Essex. The site is easily accessible from Tilbury, Gravesend, Dartford, Grays, Basildon, Southend, Brentwood and surrounding areas.

Our Linford site manufactures sustainable, tough, and energy‑efficient aerated concrete blocks—core materials used in everyday residential and commercial buildings. You may not realise it, but you’re never far from one of our products.

In this role, you will support both the site operations team and central Quality Management, ensuring our Aircrete blocks meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

As a Quality Control Technician, you will:

• Carry out quality testing on raw materials to ensure they meet specification
• Ensure production teams understand quality standards and are equipped to manage quality at source
• Perform strength and density testing to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards
• Review and analyse statistical data from production lines to identify issues and recommend improvements
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, helping reduce defects and enhance product quality
• Provide day‑to‑day QA/QC testing support for Aircrete block manufacturing

What We’re Looking For

✅ Experience in concrete technology (essential)
✅ A-Level Chemistry (desirable)
✅ Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
✅ Good communication skills
✅ A proactive, improvement‑focused mindset
✅ Reliable, adaptable and willing to take on reasonable requests
