Business Administrator (Part Time)

We are currently looking for a Business Administrator to join our team based at our Tarmac Birtley office in County Durham, near Gateshead working on a part time basis, 15 hours per week. This role is commutable from Gateshead, Newcastle upon Tyne, Consett, Durham, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Darlington, South Shields, Wallsend, Longbenton and the surrounding areas.

Role Responsibility

Reporting to the Business Administration Supervisor, the role of Business Administrator will be responsible for:

  • Providing a professional service to support the Regional Business with administrative tasks and systems work
  • Daily actions to resolve and clear down blocked tickets to reduce delays in billing, to ensure efficient business operations.
  • Manually checking and processing each ticket received and action accordingly to SLA
  • Daily investigation and resolution of queries that have been received by the business
  • Resolving missing ticket issues, manual invoicing, EDI errors

 

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for the role of Business Administrator will be seeking part time hours and have prior experience working in a similar role and will be able to prioritise their workload and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.

Suitable candidates for the role of Business Administrator will have:

  • Possess strong IT skills
  • Good knowledge of MS office including Word, Excel and other business systems
  • Ability to influence and persuade others
  • Flexible approach to deal with a range of ever changing day to day situations
  • Planning and organising skills
  • Excellent communication and verbal reasoning skills
  • Proven problem solving ability to be able to deal with challenges internally and externally
