FP&A Finance Analyst - 14 Month Maternity cover

We are currently looking for an experienced FP & A Analyst to join our high performing finance team for a 12 month period. Although the role is based at our Solihull Head Office, we are currently employing a flexible, hybrid working model (2 days in the office).

Role Responsibility
Working as a key member of the Group Finance team, the FP&A Analyst plays a pivotal role in producing insightful and relevant reporting for Senior Management to support key decision making.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supports the month end reporting process for management accounts ensuring the efficient flow of information from local ERP systems to shareholder reporting
- Preparing month end management reporting packs,
- Posting month end journals,
- Performing necessary reconciliations and SOx controls;
- Supporting the Group wide planning process, including the Strategic Plan, Budget and quarterly forecasts, setting timetables and managing the financial modelling requirements.
- Preparing suite of reports and presentations to Senior Management.
- Provides insight on variances and key drivers explaining business performance for Senior Management and the Group
- Supporting corporate decision making through the provision of insightful and relevant analysis to key stakeholders including: CRH reporting team, Finance Director, FP&A Managers & the National Finance team
The Ideal Candidate
Qualified or part qualified CIMA / ACCA or ACCA with strong technical financial knowledge.
Detailed knowledge and expertise in financial and ERP systems including SAP, BW and ideally HFM.
Excellent data analysis and manipulation skills, diligence in data handling, analysis and reporting.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Must be well organised and proactive; with an open mindset and accepting and providing challenge.
Able to manage multiple tasks and effectively prioritise to meet deadlines.
Relevant experience within the reporting teams.
Strong verbal and written presentation skills.
Ability to work through and articulate complex issues in a concise and persuasive manner.
High levels of self-motivation, focus and drive required.
Can-do, continuous learning and improvement attitude.
